Visiba Care secures SEK 32M, and opens offices in Norway and UK to expand its digital digital health platform.
VIsiba Care, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based company providing SAAS tools for health care providers, announced in a press release securing SEK 31.5M ($3.9M) in a fresh investment capital round.
The investors are new and existing shareholders, including Blue and angel Simon Josefsson. The money will be used to further enhance the technical solution and expand the business in Norway and UK, as the company intends to open offices in Oslo and London.
VIsiba Care, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Johan Gustafsson, developed a software as a service solution that enables healthcare providers complimentary ways for their patients to meet through encrypted video calls.
The company claims that is has become one of Sweden's largest supplier of generic technology for digital care services and works with more than half of all Sweden's regions and county councils, with customers such as Västra Götaland, Jönköping Region and Region Skåne.
However, in 2017, Visiba recorded SEK 3.2M ($390k) in turnover and losses of SEK 4.7M and targeted its breakeven in 2020.
Prior to this deal, the company raised about $1.5M from investors.
