Voss Water was acquired by Reignwood Group for $105M.

Voss of Norway, an Oslo, Norway-based company that bottles Voss Water, a preimum consumer water brand, announced that it was acquired by the Thai-Chinese, Hong Kong-based investemnt company Reignwood Group.

Reignwood Group, which is also the parent company of Red Bull China, has acquired slightly more than 50 percent of the premium bottled water brand, paying approximately $105 million.

Voss, led by chairman John Shulman, is a Norwegian-based brand of bottled water from the village of Vatnestrøm in Iveland municipality, Aust-Agder county. Contrary to popular belief, the water is not bottled in the municipality of Voss, which is more than 400 kilometres (250 mi) away from the actual bottling site. Voss is available in both still and sparkling forms is botteld by Voss of Norway AS, an American Limited Company headquartered in New York City, and is marketed in over 50 countries, with a particular focus on the United States.
