Wastehero secured DKK 7.5M.

Wastehero, an Aarhus, Denmark-based end-to-end smart waste collection solution provider, announced that it raised funding of DKK 7.5M ($1.2M).

The money was raised from backers including the local investor from Denmark Ronnie Bach Nielsen as well as Momenta VC and Anorak VC.

Wastehero, founded in 2017 by Khaled Saied and Hussam Mansour (CEO), is focused upon optimizing waste management and its collection via an end-to-end smart waste collection solution powered by smart sensors and a routing algorithm allowing cities and businesses to more easily manage and collect waste.

The devices monitor activity, including bin fullness, temperature and fill rates, to identify waste generation patterns. Data from bins are collected on the company's web-based platform, which produces real-time analysis for city officials to visualize the fullness of every trash bin simultaneously and deploy haulers only when needed.
