Wehype completes a seed round of $1.3M from Brightly Ventures and Inbox Capital.

Wehype, an Uppsala, Sweden-based company operating a digital media agency connecting gamers with marketing people, secured a SEK 12.5M ($1.3M) seed investment round.

The funding was backed by local investors from Sweden including Brightly Ventures and Inbox Capital. Money will be used to fuel the company's ambitions to grow internationally in markets such as Germany, UK, France and USA.

Wehype, founded in 2016 by CEO Robin Åström and his brothers Gustaf and Emil Smith, built a media agency that reaches to younger generation active in the gaming and the e-sports world and connects it to online relevant influencers.

Prior to this transaction, Wehype raised about half a million dollars in external funding.
