ClimateView to raise €2.3 million from Norrsken Foundation, Nordic Makers, Max Ventures and GGV Capital

ClimateView, a Stockholm, Sweden-based developer of a software platform featuring environmental data, announced the completion of a €2.3 million ($2.5M) capital investment round.

The funding was provided by a range of investors from the Nordic countries, including the Norrsken Foundation, Nordic Makers, Max Ventures, and GGV Capital.

ClimateView, founded by CEO Tomer Shalit, aims to help public organisatons to to assemble and visualise climate roadmaps, and accelerate their path towards a carbon neutral future. As such, the company built a software platform featuring environmental data, policies and proposals to power nations, cities and companies in their decision and policy-making processes on climate.

The tool provides both an overview of the work towards tackling climate change as well as the ability to drill down into the more granular detail, including the current CO2 emissions per sector, proposed and approved policies, and indicators of the progress made. The company’s premier project has been its work with the Swedish Climate Policy Council, which used the ClimateView software and suite of services to release a publicly available digital roadmap.
