Whalelend adds investment from Icebreaker VC, Taaleri and Estlander & Partners.

Whalelend, a Helsinki, Finland-based startup providing an online platform for alternative investments, secured a pre-seed investment of an undisclosed amount.

The investors supporting the round are Finnish backers Icebreaker VC, Taaleri and Estlander & Partners.

Whalelend, founded in 2018 and led by CEO Yichen Wu, developed a next-gen cryptocurrency investment service provided via an online platform. The solution can be used as a high-yield saving account for digital assets, in which users can put their capital to work in multiple cryptocurrency lending markets. The platform was designed for users to earn interest on their digital asset holdings without taking excessive risks.
