Wolt announced a $130 million Series C round led by Iconiq Capital.
Wolt, a Helsinki, Finland-based food delivery company, announced that it secured $130M in series C investment round.
The financing was led by ICONIQ Capital and included Highland Europe, EQT Ventures and Lifeline Ventures. The funding will be used to fuel the accelerate of the company, as it aims to hire more than 1000 people in the coming period.
Wolt, founded in 2014 and led by CEO Miki Kuusi, delivers food in 15 countries and 50 cities across EMEA. In order to support operations, the company built its tech platform for optimising logistics in real-time, allowing Wolt to deliver food more efficiently. Wolt works with more than 5,000 restaurants and 10,000 couriers partners across its 50 cities.
Prior to this round, Wolt raised $30M in a capital investment round led by 83North in January 2018.
