WordDive from Finland raised $1.3M in crowdfunding via Invesdor.

WordDive, a Tampere, Finland-based, AI educational company, raised 1.274.100 EUR in an Invesdor crowd equity campaign. The campaign started on December 19, 2016 and was oversubscribed, as had 250k EUR as a target. The valuation of the company was 5M EUR, pre-money.

WordDive, led by CEO and co-founder Timo-Pekka Leinonen, is an AI-based mobile and online application for learning languages efficiently, with a method that combines the best practices of Finnish education principles and mobile game industry. The company was founded in 2010 and has over 250 000 users in 150 countries.

WordDive is one of the leading digital language learning companies in Scandinavia, and expects to record 2.4M EUR in revenues for 2017.
