Worksome to raise a $13 million Series A funding round from Lind & Risør and angel investors.

Worksome, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company operating a digital platform for recruiting freelance professionals, raised $13 million Series A funding.

The money was raised from existing shareholders Lind & Risør and angel investor Tommy Ahlers.

Worksome, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Morten Petersen, developed a platform for hiring, managing and collaborating with freelance workers.

The company works with medium and large companies, who are working with at least 20+ freelancers at a time and need to fill vacancies within teams rather than helping companies outsource projects.

It says it that their average yearly spend per client is $300k, at a rate of 20,000 yearly placements and 550 active clients mostly from the US and the UK.

Worksome has offices in locations including Copenhagen, London and New York and previously raised some $6 million.
