Yeti Snow Technology adds strategic investment from Husqvarna.

Yeti Snow Technology, a Kongsberg, Norway-based manufacturer of an advanced system for self-driving vehicles, announced getting into an investment agreement with Swedish manufacturer Husqvarna.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Husqvarna Group will join Semcon and Øveraasen as owners of the company. The three companies will share ownership equally in Yeti Snow Technology.

Yeti Snow Technology, led by project manager John Emil Halden, has developed self-driving snow removal vehicles for the Norwegian airport operator Avinor. The products consist of an advanced system for self-driving vehicles that is used in environments with high demands for safety, precision and reliability. So far, the focus has been on clearing snow from airport runways, and over 40 tests were carried out at Oslo Airport in 2019.
