Young Platform raised €16 million in a round led by Azimut and joined by Banca Sella, United Ventures, and Abalone Venture.

Young Platform, a Turin, Italy-based startup operating a cryptocurrency investment platform, raised €16 million ($16.9M) in series A round.

The money was raised from investors from Italy, led by Azimut, and joined by Banca Sella, United Ventures and Abalone Venture.

The new capital investment will support Young Platform’s development plans, starting with the expansion of the team, from 41 to 110 members by the end of 2022, and geographic expansion into new markets such as Spain and France.

Young Platform, founded in 2018 by Andrea Carollo, Andrea Ferrero, Daniele Rinaldi, Marco Ciarmoli, Samuele Raimondo and Stefan A. Gheban, built and operates three products: Stepdrop - a gamified app that introduces would-be traders to the world of digital currencies; Young Platform - a learning platform for beginners; Young Platform Pro - targeting professional traders and Investors.

Young Platform previously raised $4.2 million in a 2021 round led by Milan’s United Ventures and joined by family office Ithaca Investments, Accel scout Luca Ascani, Max Ciociola, and Pietro Invernizzi.
