Yova, a Zurich, Switzerland-based operator of an investment platform, announced the completion of a CHF 11 million ($12.3M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from a range of investors, including Carole Ackermann, CEO of Diamondscull, and Christoph Sutter, founder of Southpole and myclimate. The Swiss Federal Technology Fund is also said to have contributed with an additional CHF 3 million.

Proceeds will be used to further expansion in Switzerland and across Europe.

Yova, founded in 2017 by CEO Tillmann Lang, developed a platform providing access to investors to sustainable companies from as little as CHF 2,000. The platform only makes investments in publicly listed companies in environmentally friendly or sustainable industries such as wind turbine manufacturers, Beyond Meat and Tesla. Its portfolio range comprises 30 to 40 shares in various industries, countries, currencies, and sizes.

Yova says that the platform has doubled the number of clients on its platform in the first four months of 2021 mostly by word-of-mouth. It previously raised CHF 4 million in 2020.

Total investments received (USD): 16.39M
