Zcooly in a SEK 20 million equity funding round.

Zcooly, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based startup developing a digital educational platform for children, announced completing a SEk 20 million ($2.2M) equity fundraising round.

The money was raised from investors from Sweden, including Almi Invest, Aggregate Media, and Verdane Foundation.

Zcooly, founded in 2012 by mother and son Chäthrin Wadström and Jonathan Wadström (CEO), aims to help parents with children between the ages of 5 and 12 a via an educational platform whereas children learn math through games. The math games are developed in collaboration with game developers and educators and are created to make it easier for children to learn math while having fun. The company says it provides access to 300 game exercises based on the curriculum in mathematics from preschool to grade 6 (children aged 5-12 years).
