Zero Point Technologies, a Gothenburg, Sweden, data compression startup, announced raising SEK 11.5M ($1.29M) in fresh equity investment. The money comes from Chalmers Ventures, one of the most active incubators and early stage investors from Sweden, and will be used for completion of the development of technology and get the product to market.

Zero Point Technologies came to Chalmers Ventures through tech transfer program, where they originally got help with the patent issue. They have now taken a step further and bring in investment to commercialize their product.

The company, founded in 2015 and led by CEO Stefan Lindeberg, develops technology that compresses data in RAM instead of the hard drive without losing transmission time. The computer works more efficiently and storage of data can be duplicated in RAM, which also saves on your computer's power.
