2D fab secured capital investment from Miun Ventures.
2D fab, a Sundsvall, Sweden-based company producing graphene flakes using graphite, announced that it completed a capital investment round from Miun Ventures.
2D Fab was established in 2013 as a spin-off from Mid Sweden University in Sweden. The company produces graphene flakes using graphite from the Swedish Woxna Graphite (owned by the Canadian company Flinders Resources). The graphite is unique as it enables the production of larger and higher-purity graphene flakes compared to other graphite sources. 2D fab uses a proprietary fluid mechanical exfoliation method.
Mats Tinnsten, CEO of Miun Venture AB:
"It feels good to be able to support research ideas from Mid Sweden University and help them get out into the market."
Björn Forsberg, Chairman of the Board of 2D fab:
"Although Mid Sweden University has limited financial resources for this type of investment, it is a proof that we have the university's support. It is also much needed money in this early, and economically difficult, stage of business development”
