8 Dudes in a Garage received SEK 4.5M for developing IGDB - the Internet Games Database.

8 Dudes in a Garage, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup developing an Internet Games Database (IGDB), closed SEK 4.5M ($570k) in outside funding.

The money was secured in two rounds and comes from local investors Anton Westbergh and Johan Ahlborg through the investment company Nascent Invest.

IGDB, founded in 2015 by CEO Christian Frithiof, aims to become the next generation consumer portal for video games, as well as a B2B application for the video game industry, similar to what IMDB achieved for the movie industry.
