Activate was acquired by Impact
Activate, a Stockholm, Sweden-founded and New York, USA-headquartered company providing SAAS for influencer marketing, announced that it entered into an agreement for being acquired by Impact, a Santa Barbara, USA-based partnership automation provider.
Financial details were not disclosed. The acquisition includes the Activate's end-to-end platform for influencer discovery; reporting; and campaign management, as well as collaborations across all major social platforms.
Activate, founded as Bloglovin in 2008 by Mattias Storm, Dan Carlberg and Patrik Ring, was initially a a platform to drive content discovery and promote incredible content creators and later pivoted to building and selling SaaS technology. The product is a fully end-to-end influencer marketing platform, covering influencer discovery, program workflow, measurement, and analytics that supports cross-platform collaborations (Instagram, YouTube, Blog, Twitter, Facebook + more), with an opt-in network of 150,000+ vetted and authenticated influencers.
Activate has raised more than $20 million and was backed by investors including Northzone, Kinnevik, Basset, RRE Ventures and White Star Capital.
