AirHelp secures an investment from Nordic Eye, a Danish venture fund.

AirHelp, a Hong Kong and New York, USA-based startup providing an online legal service that helps air passengers get compensation from airlines, announced closing an investment round from Nordic Eye. In relation to this investment, Peter Warnøe joins the AirHelp Board, initially as an observer.

The financing will help AirHelp further accelerate its growth via investment in claims handling capabilities to harvest on the massive inbound customer intake the company is experiencing. The funding will also accelerate efforts in the various partner relations the company has entered into.

AirHelp, founded in 2013 in Demark by Henrik Zillmer, Nicolas Michaelsen and Greg Roodt, helps air passengers get compensation from airlines when their flight gets cancelled, delayed or overbooked. The company has more thank 500 employees in offices in Berlin, New York, Gdansk, Krakow and Barcelona.

Prior to this investment, AirHelp raised more than $12M from investors including Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures or New Europe Ventures.
