aitme raised €7.5 million from HV Capital, Global Founders Capital and angel investors.
aitme, a Berlin, Germany-based manufacturer of cooking robots, announced completing a €7.5 million ($9.1M) series A capital funding round.
The money was raised from German investors including HV Capital, the Rocket Internet fund Global Founders Capital and business angel Oliver Ringleben. The existing shareholders La Famiglia and Vorwerk Ventures also contributed to the round.
aitme, founded in 2019 by Emanuel Pallua and Julian Stoss, develops a robotic kitchen unit, able to prepares fresh dishes in a few minutes and without human help. The robots can be used to prepare fresh food based on pasta, rice, quinoa and salads and are sold against a subscription to corporate customers. The company already has a paying client - the Berlin startup incubator Merantix.
aitme previously raised funding from La Famiglia, Rocket Internet and Vorwerk Ventures in 2020.
