Amenitiz, a Barcelona, Spain-based software developer of solutions for the hospitality industry, secured $30 million in a series A equity fundraising effort.

The money was raised from investors led by VC firm Eight Roads, joined by Chalfen Ventures, Point Nine Capital, Backed VC and Otium.

The proceeds will be used for accelerated business expansion, as the company says it eyes business in the UK, Ireland, Portugal, Germany and Greece, countries which account 90% of the European tourism market, including existing markets France, Italy and Spain.

Amenitiz, founded in 2017 by CEO Alexandre Guinefolleau, developed a website-builder technology specifically targeted for the hospitality industry and also supporting hotel and holiday rentals owners in managing their online presence and distribution channels. It also connects customers to a marketplace of third party software tools to cater to additional requirements they may have. The company says it works with 4,000+ customers from 37 countries.

Amenitiz previously raised a $7.5 million series A led by Point Nine Capital and joined by angels Avi Meir, Matt Robinson and Carlos Gonzales-Cadenas, as well as $700k back in 2019.
