Artland raises pre-seed investment.
Artland, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup managing a mobile app that acts as a social marketplace for art, closed a DKK 3M pre-seed investment round.
The money comes from local Nordic investors, including Nygaard Seed investment and Jens-Peter Brask.
Artland, founded in 2016 by brothers Jeppe Curth and Mattis Curth (CEO), developed a mobile marketplace that aims to connect art collectors, art lovers, galleries, and artists from all over the world. The service, which has around 10,000 registered users, is free for collectors to upload content, or for anyone to browse. The business model involves charging the art galleries, selling a subscription service for which they also get to showcase the works they have for sale in their galleries on its platform.
