Asistensi announced closing Series A of $10.5 million backed by 468 Capital, Mundi Ventures and Nazca
Asistensi, a Madrid, Spain-based insurance company, announced closing series A financing at $10.5 million.
The money was raised from the Spanish VC Alma Mundi Ventures, German early stage investor 468 Capital and Mexico-based Mountain Nazca.
Asistensi, founded in 2019 by Andrés Simón González-Silén, Luis Enrique Velásquez Díaz and Armando Baquero Ponte, launched and sell insurance products for migrants, wheres they can buy medical insurance for people based in their country of origin. The insurance can be purchased online without any medical admission tests.
The company has more than 70 employees in 5 countries and provide health plans to cover the families of Dominican, Venezuelan and mexican migrants residing in the United States and Europe. The startup has also expanded the insurance lines it offers by including funeral and life insurance coverage in its plans.
Asistensi previously raised $3 million from Alma Mundi Ventures and Mountain Nazca at the end of 2020.
