Avane Cloud Kitchens raised $1 million from GFC.

Avane Cloud Kitchens, an Istanbul, Turkey-based dark kitchen operator, announced closing a $1 million seed funding round.

The money was raised from the German early stage investors from GFC.

Avane Cloud Kitchens, founded in 2020 by Ahmet Orhon, developed an ecommerce business selling food out of a dark kitchen operation. 70% of the restaurant brands are owned, and the others are licensed - it handles owned 15 brands such as ÇOSA, Veganista, Nane, Kengeres, Jay Jay Fries, Chef Amadeo, and licensed brands such as sushi chain brand SushiMaster.

Avane currently runs 3 kitchens located in Istanbul Ataşehir, Istanbul Acıbadem and Izmir Mavişehir, with a total of 45 virtual restaurants. It says that it aims to bring together more than 30 virtual restaurants serving takeaway meals from a single kitchen not exceeding 200 square meters.
