Beam raised $9.5 million from Pace Capital and existing investors.

Beam, a Paris, France-based software startup, announced completing a $9.5 million Series A round.

The money was raised from a range of backers led by Pace Capital and including Spark, Amaranthine, C4V and Alven. The deal was also funded by several business angels such as Christian Reber, Harry Stebbings and Albert Wenger.

At the same time, the company announced the acquisition of RadBlock, an company building an ad blocker for Safari.

Beam, founded in 2019 by Dom Leca and Sébastien Métrot, is working for the development of a new web browser that tracks and aggregates in a smart way browsing experience on the Internet. The company previously raised a $3.5 million capital investment round in October 2020.
