Berba, a Bilbao, Spain-based developer of an AI native translator, announced completing a seed funding round closed at €1 million ($1.1M).

The money was raised locally from Spain from investors including Mondragón Promotion Fund managed by Clave Capital, CDTI and ENISA.

Berba, founded in 2018 and led by CEO Thomas Trincado, sells a SAAS that offers translation services in 42 languages ​​and uses Artificial Intelligence to automate tasks and perform some translation tasks that help translators reduce their work time to optimize client costs. and reduce response times. The company's translator are managed and reviewed from start to finish, coordinate with about 5000 translators based in 16 different time zones, live tracking of the documents.

Berba previously raised €250k from a range of local investors from Spain, including GukInvest, Ieteam Consultores as well as angel investors Iñigo Bernal, Ion Elosegui, Lander Guibelalde, Unai Carmona, and lker Cámara.
