Blueye Robotics raised $1 million from existing shareholders.
Blueye Robotics, a Trondheim, Norway-based underwater drone manufacturer, announced in a press release that it completed a capital raise of NOK 10 million ($1M).
The funding was provided by existing shareholders in the company.
Blueye Robotics, founded in 2015 by Christine Spiten and Erik Dyrkoren and led by CEO Christian Gabrielsen, manufactures and sells underwater drones. The company's product, Blueye Pioneer, is an underwater drone that dives eight times deeper than the average scuba enthusiast. The prosumer underwater drone is suitable for ocean explorers of every type who want to discover what lies beneath the ocean as well as for the professionals interested in scientific and enterprise use.
