C2amps, a Malmö, Sweden-based manufacturer of nano-transistors for the mobile industry, announced closing a SEK 3.3M ($350k) capital investment round.

The funding was made by investors including LU Innovation, matched by a SEK 1.4M investment made by Almi Invest.

C2amps, founded in 2016 as a spinoff from research made at Lund University by Lars Tilly (CEO), Erik Lind and Lars-Erik Wernersson, aims to build a business by creating nanowire transistors that can meet the challenges posed by the new 5G technology and the requirement of IoT.

The features of nano wire transistors are utilized in a device concept with superior performance in terms of breakdown voltage and cut off frequencies, combined with low leakage currents. The transistors are especially suitable for the higher frequencies around 100GHz which will be required for later revisions of the telecommunications standards 5G and 6G.

Total investments received (USD): 2.61M
