Candidator gets acquired by EQT

Candidator, an Alingsås, Sweden-headquartered company providing managed IT services provider with capabilities for full IT outsourcing in Sweden and Norway, announced that EQT became the majority owner of the company.

The transaction, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made between EQT's fund, EQT Mid Market and the existing owners - the private investment company Sobro and minority owners.

Candidator, founded in 1997 by Christer Johannesson and Joachim Winberg and led by CEO Johan de Verdier, is a managed IT services provider with capabilities for full IT outsourcing, providing its clients with mainly contractually recurring services, including cloud, hosting and application management.

The company has approximately 300 employees in Sweden and Norway with annual sales of around EUR 45M ($55M) from approximately 400 contracted customers.
