Classified Cycling, an Antwerp, Belgium-based producer of bike components, announced that it completed a funding round of €5 million ($6M).

The money was raised from investors led by Bridford Investments. The funds will allow the company to continue research and development.

Classified Cycling, founded in 2019 by CEO Mathias Plouvier, is a manufacturer of bicycle wireless drivetrains intended to use smart shifting technology. The wireless shifting technology is placed in the rear hub, replacing the functionality of the front derailleur, thus allowing riders to change gears instantaneously, under full load and with uncompromised ratio coverage and gear steps.

The production is still done manually, by a team of 15 people located in the former Philips lamp factory in Turnhout, at the outskirts of Antwerp.

Classified Cycling previously raised about €2 million from Tom Boonen and LRM.

Total investments received (USD): 30.84M
