Colossi Games secures $2.5 million in a funding round led by EQT Ventures.
Colossi Games, a Limassol, Cyprus-based gaming startup studio, announced that it raised $2.5 million in seed funding.
The round was led from investors by EQT Ventures' partner Lars Jörnow, with participation from existing investor Play Ventures.
Proceeds will be used to develop and market the company's first game, as well as the creation of future games.
Colossi Games was founded in 2020 by a group of Russian developers - CEO Manuel Prueter, CPO Andrey Panfilov, CTO Anton Petrov - with the aim to build role-playing games (RPG). The first title is set in Ancient Rome during the Roman Empire and incorporates elements of mythical lore. Players will be able to explore, band together, sabotage and fight others in colosseums as gladiators.
Colossi Games previously raised $650k in August 2020.
