Cool Company, a Stockholm-based fintech company, raised SEK 25M ($2.8M) in private equity investment from Verdane Capital.

The investment was made at SEK 200M pre-money valuation and will be used for international expansion, with an office in Finland as a first step.

Cool Company, founded in 2010 and led by CEO and founder Jan Bergstrand, provides a service for freelancers to get paid without having a formal company. In 2016 (fiscal year closed in June 2016), the company recorded SEK 176M ($20M) in total sales, an almost double increase yoy.

Cool Company raised a previous private investment in 2014 from the same Verdane, which now, after the 2017 round, will own about 70% of the company.

Total investments received (USD): 10.78M
