Critical Force raised $10 million

Critical Force, a Kajaani and Helsinki, Finland-based gaming company, announced the completion of a $10 million capital investment round.

The money was raised from investors whose name was not disclosed.

Critical Force, founded in 2012 by CEO Veli-Pekka Piirainen, is a game studio that is known for the title Critical Ops, an online shooter games for mobile devices. The game is available for iOS and Android and has been downloaded more than 80M times.

The company has 55 employees located in 2 development studios in Finland, and spread out in 6 countries around the world. Critical Force previously raised €4 million in seed funding from the Korean conglomerate NHN Entertainment.
