Dirac raises SEK 44M.

Dirac Research, an Uppsala, Sweden-based digital sound optimization company, announced that it has completed a private placement of SEK 44M ($4.88M)

The money comes from current and new investors, including John Wattin, Staffan Persson, Henrik Didner, Rami Yacoub, Jörgen Lantto and Chinese AAC Technologies - a leading global provider of micro-component solutions for the mobile industry

The investment will be used to accelerate Dirac's expansion into new markets such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and to strengthen its leading position in the sound optimization for the mobile industry, as well as for increased recruitment. The company also announced that Jörgen Lantto, former CEO of Fingerprint Cards AB, was elected in Dirac's board of directors.
