Ekkono closes SEK 7.5M in fresh capital for the development of machine learning for IoT.

Ekkono Solutions, a Varberg, Sweden-based startup working on machine learning for IoT solutions, received SEK 7.5M ($930k) in outside capital. The money comes from Walerud Ventures and from Almi Invest.

Ekkono Solutions, led by CEO Jon Lindén, stems from 7 years of machine learning research at the University of Borås in Sweden. The company developed an embedded advanced analytics engine for IoT (Internet of Things) that can execute different machine learning techniques. The unique design makes it resource efficient with an unparalleled small footprint, which enables it to run at the edge, on the actual device and the design is platform-independent and runs in virtually any environment. It is an all-software solution with no hardware dependencies or requirements.
