Ember raised £1.6 million in a seed round led by fintech venture investment firm Anthemis.
Ember, a London, UK-based software developer of automated accounting solutions, announced securing a seed funding round of £1.6 million ($2.3M).
The money was raised from investors led by FinTech VC Anthemis and including VC funds Innovation Nest and Spring Ventures.
The round is geared towards product development, recruitment and customer acquisition.
Ember, founded in 2019 by CEO Aaron Shaw and Daniel Hogan, develops a software tool that automates the tax and accounting process for freelancers, contractors, and small business owners across the UK. The platform provides real-time accounting for business owners in a language and interface they understand.
