Enode raised $2.2 million in a round led by Lowercarbon Capital.

Enode, an Oslo, Norway-based software developer of an API solution for electric vehicles and other energy consumer products, announced completing a $2.2 million seed funding round.

The money was raised from multiple American investors, including Lowercarbon Capital (led by Chris Sacca), BoxGroup, Liquid2, Skyfall Ventures. Angel investors also contributed to the round, namely Jason Jacobs (MCJ/Runkeeper), Scott Belsky (Adobe), Gustaf Ahlstromer (YC) and Helge Lund (chairman of BP).

Enode, founded in 2020 by Thorvald Thorsnes, Nikolai Heum and CEO Henrik Langeland, developed a software tool powered by APIs that connect EVs, solar, batteries and heating to energy providers. The API is a single connecting point of these devices and can be integrated into any app, bringing together everything that’s necessary to build demand response solutions.
