Envisics, a Milton Keynes, UK-based developer of dynamic holographic technologies for augmented reality displays in cars, announced closing a $50 million capital investment round.

The money was raised from a range of strategic investors including Hyundai Mobis, GM Ventures (the venture capital subsidiary of General Motors), SAIC Capital (the venture investment business of SAIC Motors) and Van Tuyl Companies (a US-based family office investment firm).

Proceeds will be used to scale the business operations globally  and further enables the company to accelerate the development of future holographic technologies.

Envisics, founded in 2017 and led by CEO Jamieson Christmas, developed a dynamic holographic platform that enables true holography across multiple mobility applications.
