Epishine to get $3 million in fresh capital from Beijer Ventures et all.

Epishine, a Linköping, Sweden-based solar cell manufacturer, announced the compeltion of a SEK 30 million ($3.2M) capital investment round.

The funding was led by Beijer Ventures and included financial contributions from Almi Invest, Potential Invest and angel investor Vigo Carlund.

Epishine, founded in 2016 as a spinoff from Linköping's and Chalmer's Universities by Mattias Josephson (CEO), Jonas Bergqvist, Emma Woxlin, Anders Elfwing, Olle Inganäs and Thomas Österberg, manufactures solar cells that can replace batteries in products such as fire alarms, alarm sensors and electric small gadgets.

Prior to this round, Epishine raised $1.3 million from private investors in 2018 and a €2.3 million grant from EU in 2019.
