Eton Systems was acquired by Karnell

Eton Systems, a Borås, Sweden-based manufacturer of material handling solutions for manufacturers, announced that it was acquired by Karnell.

The deal, which has the financial details undiscloed, was made with existing owner Eton Innovation AB.

Tintin Jonasson, Eton Innovation representative, who remains an owner in Eton Systems:

"With Karnell as the new majority owner, I feel confident that the company, which has been owned by my family since the start in 1967, will be further developed in a good way."

Hans Karlander, co-owner of Karnell:

"Eton Systems is in a position to grow with the market for conveyor systems thanks to the products' good reputation in the market, great customer value and a strong market presence."

The new chairman of the board is Per Nordgren, also chairman of Karnell. Previously he was CEO of Hägglunds Drives and he has extensive experience from management positions in industrial companies. Besides Karnell, Per is an industrial advisor and board professional.

As of 1 January 2019, Jan Molin is the CEO of Eton Systems. Before joining Eton Systems, he was the CEO of Puregas Solutions.
