Etraveli Group acquired two Canadian companies, TripStack and Flight Network.

Etraveli, an Uppsala, Sweden-based global online travel agency, announced that it acquired air technology specialist TripStack and online travel agency Flight Network, both based in Toronto, Canada.

The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, will boost the company's presence in North America as well as extend its airline integration capabilities. Etraveli Group has also recruited Pia Vemmelund, former managing director of Kayak EMEA and Momondo, to run TripStack alongside Naman Budhdeo, CEO and Founder of both Flight Network and TripStack.

Etraveli group, founded in 2000 and led by CEO Mathias Hedlund, operates with multiple brands in more than 50 markets globally with strong positions in the Nordics, UK, France and Germany but also a noteworthy presence in Southern Europe, Australia and specific markets in Asia and the Middle East.
