Female Invest to raise £3.3 million from a syndicate of investors including Y Combinator and Dr Fiona Pathiraja
Female Invest, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup working for developing an educational platform for women, announced that it secured funding of £3.3 million ($4.5M).
The money was raised as an equity round from a syndicate of investors led by Green Visor Capital with participation from New Theory Ventures, Y Combinator and from angel investors including Mia Wagner, the CEO of Nordic Female Founders and an investor on The Lion’s Den — the Danish version of Shark Tank — and Fiona Pathiraja, a managing partner at Crista Gallis Ventures
Female Invest, founded in 2019 by Emma Bitz, Camilla Falkenberg and Anna-Sophie Hartvigsen, aims to to create economic equality and make women financially free through their learning platform, where women become ready to move into the stock market via webinars, articles and video courses. The company sells subscription access to its content consisting 27 video courses, 18 master classes, a written knowledge bank, weekly webinars with expert speakers and a community page where members can connect with each other.
Female Invest was previously pre-seeded at the end of 202o and is one the European startups that were part of Y Combinator in the summer of 2021. It was one of the interesting Euro startups part of YC21 summer program as featured by Nordic 9.
