Flown, a London, UK-based startup working for building a network of distraction-free spaces, announced securing funding of £1.2 million ($1.6M).

The money was raised from a range of European angel investors, including Taavet Hinrikus, Greg Marsh, James Meekings, Alex Stephany, Freddie MacNamara, Pete Cashmore, Tom Allason, Joe Stepniewski, Chris Evans & Tom Weaver, Srin Madipalli, and Ed Gillespie.

Other investors include Atomico’s Angel program, Alma Angels, TrueSight Ventures, Laurel Bowden, John Taysom, and Rod Banner.

Proceeds will be used to build a business, namely build a platform, onboard new properties and hiring a team.

Flown was founded in 2020 by CEO Alicia Navarro and is working for building a platform of physical spaces (properties to work from distraction-free) and mental spaces (tools to help you be creative and productive), due for launch early 2021. The target is to create a online tool that will match knowledge workers with inspiring properties already set up for productive and ergonomic remote work, as well as providing an array of online tools and resources to help them.
