Founders House expands in Norway, acquires DIGS from Trondheim.

Founders House, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company managing working spaces and events for the startup community, acquired DIGS, a Trondheim, Norway-based working space.

The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

DIGS, founded in 2013 by CEO Mats Mathisen and Arnstein J. Syltern, operates a 1600 sqm space in the center of Trondheim, used for renting office space and managing events for startup members.The announcement comes as DIGS is working on launching a new space located in a 5-floors building, 5100 sqm with cafés, meeting rooms, offices and event rooms, based downtown Trondheim and estimated to be open in spring 2019.

Founders House was founded in 2011, is operated by The Creators Community Aps and led by CEO Tine Thygesen. The Creators Community manages spaces like Founders House, Startup Village, Matrikel1 in Copenhagen and MESH in Oslo, Norway, which it merged with in 2016.

After this deal, The Creators Community now has 17,600 sqm, has 450 companies as members and 80 employees.
