Funday Factory adds strategic investment from Sybo Games.
Funday Factory, an Aarhus, Denmark-based gaming studio, announced getting into a strategic partnership with another Danish gaming company, Sybo Games.
The deal involves an undisclosed amount of investment in Funday Factory for a 39% equity package. Sybo's CEO, Mathias Gredal Nørvig, will also join the company's board of directors.
Sybo is one of the largest mobile game developer company from Copenhagen known for Denmark's biggest title success, Subway Surfers, with 2.1 billion downloads in 6 years.
Funday Factory, founded in 2011 by Anders Leicht Rohde and led by CEO Kristian Bang Nørgaard, has released over 25 games, with titles including Axe in Face 2, Spellbinders and Hama Universe. The company will be soft launching its first IP title, Bullet League, in the first quarter of 2019.
The partnership is the result of a two and a half years of the two companies working together on the mobile game Blades of Brim.
