Gardenize completed a SEK 10 million capital raise from angel investors from Sweden.

Gardenize, a Gothenburg, Sweden-based startup builiding a business based on a social network used for gardening and gardeners, announced that it secured a SEK 10M ($1.2M) capital funding round.

The money was raised from local investors from Sweden, including angels Martin Gumpert, Lars Wiklund and Johan Wiklund.

Gardenize, founded in 2016 by CEO Jenny Rydebrink and Magnus Janemyr, developed an app initially used to build an encyclopedia of your very own plants and gardening journey. Users can take part in garden tips via the app and upload pictures of their plants themselves to see how they develop. The company says that the app has had 300,000 downloads from users from 130 countries.
