Graphmatech secures capital funding from Walerud Ventures and ABB Technology Ventures.
Graphmatech, a Västerås, Sweden-based materials technology startup company, announced getting into a capital investment agreement.
The financial details remain undisclosed.
The backers are five Swedish investors, including Walerud Ventures and ABB Technlogy Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Malin Carlström, responsible for investments in Northern Europe, will represent ABB Technology Ventures on the board, which is chaired by Jane Walerud from Walerud Ventures.
Graphmatech, founded in 2017 by CEO Mamoun Taher and Björn Lindh, is a materials technology manufacturer that invents, develops and sells novel Graphene-based nanocomposites materials and services.
The company has succeeded in designing a graphene hybrid material, Aros Graphene, with the exceptional properties of Graphene, but much easier to manufacture and apply as the material displays extreme thermal and electrical conductivity as well as very low dry friction.
Commercial uses include cooling of electronics, energy storage, sliding contacts and low friction self-lubricating surfaces.
