Hades announced raising $1.9 million from 360 Capital, Urban Us and Swiss business angels.

Hades, a Zurich, Switzerland-based developer of software tools used for inspection analysis of sewer pipelines, announced raising the capital in a seed funding round of $1.9 million.

The money was raised from investors led by 360 Capital and including participations from Urban Us and two business angels. As part of the financing round, Nader Sabbaghian of 360 Capital is joining the board of directors.

Hades, founded in 2019 as an ETH Zurich spin-off by Christian Koch, Eric Wolf, Anton Middelhaufe and Dominik Boller, uses machine learning to automatically detect defects in sewer inspection videos and tells engineers when and how to repair them.

The use of AI makes the process more objective and less error-prone - the company works with public sewer asset managers such as city councils and sewer service providers (e.g. inspection companies and engineering firms).
