Hier Foods raised €7 million in a seed funding round.
Hier Foods, a Berlin, Germany-based software developer of an end-to-end procurement tool for grocers to discover and handle regional suppliers, announced the completion of a €7 million ($7.9M) seed funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by US-based Collaborative Fund, joined by Pale Blue Dot, Speedinvest, Amplifier Labs, Entrepreneur First and A* Capital. The round included contributions from angel investors Github co-founder Scott Chacon, Choco co-founder Daniel Khachab and Flickr co-founder Caterina Fake (YesVC).
Hier Foods, founded in 2020 by Lara Hammerle and Mark Jäger, developed a software solution that is to be deployed as an easy-to-use infrastructure to both merchants and suppliers through a series of integrations that link existing systems and processes on both sides of the table, thereby facilitating frictionless communications.
Hier Foods was previously pre-seeded in the first part of 2021.
