HiveMQ announced a €9.3 million seed round led by Earlybird and Senovo Capital Management.
HiveMQ, a Landeshut, Germany-based developer of cloud native IoT messaging middleware solutions, announced the completion of a seed round worth €9.3 million ($1.2M).
The money was raised from a range of German investors led by Earlybird and Senovo Capital Management, and joined by four angel investors: Ali Kutay, Mirko Novakovic, Daniel Schellhoss and Charles Songhurst.
HiveMQ, founded in 2012 by Christian Götz and Dominik Obermaier, is a developer of MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) solutions that allow for the deployment of IoT applications in a scalable and reliable manner. The company says it has its products deployed to over 130 customers, most from the automotive industry, including BMW, Audi, ECARX (subsidiary of Geely), Autonomic (subsidiary of Ford), ZF, Rimac and SiriusXM.
The HiveMQ products have also business cases in manufacturing, industrial automation, transportation, telecommunications.
