Hubtype, a Barcelona, Spain-based software startup, announced that it raised a €1 million ($1.1M) in a seed round investment round.

The round was led by Madrid-based early stage venture firm, K Fund and included existing investors in the company.

Hubtype, founded in 2016 and led by Marc Caballé and Eric Marcos, aims to provide corporate customers with conversational messaging experiences by selling them a product called Botonic, an opensource framework used for building conversational apps, helping developers build, deploy and scale conversational apps across multiple messaging channels (including webchat).

Prior to this round, Hubtype raised €235k in 2016 in a mix of public and angel funding.

Total investments received (USD): 1.36M
